My first Comicon vending experience wasn’t a small local show—I went straight to C2E2 in Chicago, one of the largest conventions in the Midwest. It was overwhelming, exhilarating, expensive, and unforgettable all at once. From navigating McCormick Place with my tiny crooked trailer, to selling out of my best tiaras on day one, to watching the behind-the-scenes forklifts and crews build an entire world overnight, C2E2 pushed me in every possible way. Despite the cold walks, long days, and sky-high booth costs, the steady crowds, incredible cosplay, and nonstop sparkle-lovers made the whole weekend worth it—and taught me lessons I’ll carry into every future show.
